Obamacare Law Invalidated

Washington D.C. - The Supreme Court ruled today that the Affordable Health Care Act, known as Obamacare, has been ruled invalid. The reason for this invalidation of a major component of President Obama’s first term is all on the bottom line.

“Upon review of the signing document, the name signed is Barack Osama, not his real name of Barack Obama,” David Hendricks, senior aid to Chief Justice John Roberts, told reporters as a press conference outside the Supreme Court today. “We have never had a President sign the wrong name before. We know that the names ‘Osama’ and ‘Obama’ are very similar, but this was new territory for the Court to have to make a decision on.”

Opponents of Obamacare were thrilled with the news. “Today is a great day in history for the American people. Not only has the dreadful health care bill that was rammed down the American peoples throats been invalidated, but we have proof that our President is not even competent enough to spell his name correctly,” said the press aide to Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-OH).

Tea Parties across the country Tweeted the news as it broke, showing their support for the Supreme Court. “Today was a historic ruling for our country,” read one tweet from a user named “PartyLikeItsHotWater”.

Supporters of the legislation also came out to talk about today’s decision. Mary Donovan, a spokeswoman with “People For Obamacare”, said in a written announcment,

“This is a very sad day for the millions of people lacking health care in America. It is made even sadder than the President failed at writing his name, something my four year old daughter can do by herself. When you are the leader of the free world, spelling your name should be a job requirement.”

The Obamacare bill is probably dead, as it would have to be reintroduced into both houses of Congress. A Republican led House of Representatives will not even approach the matter, and the Senate won’t take the gamble again anytime soon.

“Next time, practice your name before you sign a bill,” tweeted user CallMePleaseImLonely.

  1. Very funny post! In fact, these are getting funnier with every news item. What's really funny is that the (supposedly random) ad showing when I loaded this page was something about repealing Obamacare!

  2. Thanks Robin. Good to know that they're improving in their humor content. I like that on my page, the Amazon banner ad is all for books about Donald Trump after my first fake news story.
