American Red Cross Needs Help

Anywhere, USA - This is not a BFTJ report, but an actual statement. The American Red Cross is facing a shortfall in funds for all the recent disasters already in 2011, with more sure to come in the future. The ARC has helped with earthquakes around the globe, Japan’s tsunami and nuclear plant situation, wildfires in Texas, tornadoes in Alabama and North Carolina, flooding along the Mississippi River. They continue to provide support in Pakistan from floods in 2010, as well as Chile and Haiti following earthquakes. The ARC even provides food and shelter to people in need in local areas that aren’t considered disaster areas.

The ARC is currently facing a $13 million deficit and it keeps growing. The American Red Cross needs you more than ever, so please, give generously. You can text REDCROSS to 90999 or go to www.redcross.org to donate today.

This year, I have donated $50 of my own money to the ARC. I have decided that I will also donate 50% of all the Amazon Associate earnings I make from May 1st through July 31st. So open your wallets and donate, or shop Amazon through my Associates link for me to donate on your behalf.

The ARC is also looking for blood donors. There are blood banks in your local area, so you can donate locally, and help those in need.

There will be another BFTJ exclusive tomorrow. Today, let’s think of those in need, and how we can help them and the American Red Cross.
